Purpose
Our purpose is clear: to fill the funding gap, elevate our program, and create a sustainable future for Plymouth State Football.
The Challenges We Face
Despite our strong football tradition and passionate supporters, Plymouth State Football faces critical resource limitations that hold us back from reaching our full potential.
Insufficient Coaching Staff
Without full-time assistant coaches, player development and competitive consistency suffer.
Coaching Staff Turnover
The lack of stability makes it difficult to build a long-term, successful program.
Limited Fundraising
Many top programs receive substantial financial backing, while we must rely on external support to fund recruitment, staffing, and player development.
Recruitment Barriers
The best student-athletes choose programs that offer strong coaching, scholarships, and program support—areas where additional funding is needed.
A Major Funding Gap
Plymouth State Football operates with a $300,000 annual shortfall compared to top national and Northeast programs.
Minimal State & University Support
Funding from the State of New Hampshire and Plymouth State University is not enough to meet the needs of a highly competitive football program.
A Strong Foundation for the Future
While challenges exist, we have the tools and infrastructure to succeed.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Our players train and compete in some of the best Division III football facilities in the country.
New Turf Field
A high-performance playing surface that enhances game-day excitement and player safety.
Modern Locker Facilities
Designed to support team unity, player preparation, and recruitment efforts.
Elite Strength & Conditioning Center
Giving athletes the tools to develop strength, speed, and endurance at the highest level.
Our Vision
Our vision for Plymouth State Football is to build a thriving, competitive program that honors our tradition while setting new standards for excellence. Here’s how we’re making that vision a reality:
Fundraising and Financial Growth
- Established a 501(c)(3) organization and Board of Directors to address funding gaps.
- Expanded fundraising through a membership program, annual golf tournament, and NH gaming funds.
- Exploring innovative revenue streams, such as an electronic billboard at PSU, with the potential to raise $50,000–$100,000 for the program.
Coaching and Staff Development
- Prioritizing the expansion of our coaching staff by funding a full-time assistant coach.
- Launching a coaching intern program to provide additional support and development for our athletes.
Alumni Engagement
- Encouraging alumni to volunteer on existing and new committees.
- Fostering opportunities to reconnect with old friends and build new relationships, all united by a common purpose.
Restoring Championship Tradition
- Committed to restoring consistent, championship-level success.
- Aiming for the team to compete for league titles every season, achieve national rankings, and earn regular NCAA playoff bids.
- Creating lifelong memories and an unbreakable brotherhood for every player who wears the Panther uniform.
